CEO and Co-Founder Cori Cohen
Cori is a graduate of UCLA, and has over 25 years of experience in marketing, public relations, customer relations, business development, and strategic partnership development. With her husband Dr. Jonathan Cohen, Cori co-founded MD Medical Navigators 10 years ago - a leading health consulting agency that specializes in crisis medical management, specialty referral and patient advocacy. In hopes of making healthcare more accessible to students around their college campuses or while studying abroad, Cori then launched the concierge service Student Edition at MD Medical Navigators. Most recently, Cori founded MyAbroadMD’s - a more affordable health advocacy tool that provides travelers with an extra level of security and peace of mind when it comes to their health abroad.
Chief Medical Advisor & Co-Founder Jonathan Cohen
Dr. Cohen is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Medical School. He completed his residency at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston, and fellowships in gastroenterology at UCLA, as well as advanced endoscopy at The Wellesley Hospital in Toronto, Canada. Since 2006, Dr. Cohen has been a Clinical Professor of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine and has had numerous leadership roles on various committees and task forces with the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy [ASGE] over the past 20 years. He was honored for this organization for their 2016 Distinguished Service Award. and was President of the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy in 2004. Dr. Cohen is recognized as an expert in his medical practice area and has authored several articles, edited two textbooks that have been translated into four languages, sold worldwide, and directed 50 training courses to doctors in many countries across North America. He is widely sought after for his knowledge on quality indicators in gastroenterology, simulator training, and advanced imaging technologies in early diagnosis of GI cancers.
